Active for Autism VIRTUAL 5k

The Active for Autism 5K has been changed to a virtual event. All previously registered runners will automatically be registered or the virtual race. If you have any questions please contact the RUN staff at run@researchautism.org
As we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic there are many things to be grateful for and the ability to walk, jog, run or ride any distance is one of them. While we can’t run together in a race, we want to continue to motivate you to keep moving and challenge yourself to a virtual race.
The Active for Autism Event is a virtual race that can be run, walked, cycled, swam at your own pace, in your own time, from wherever you are! Ideally it would be on a course right out your front door, inside your home on a treadmill/trainer, or starting at a location near to you.
How it works:
- Complete Your Virtual Race
- Pick the course you want to race and complete your Active for Autism Virtual Race between July 18th and July 26th.
- Take A Finish Line Photo
- We want to see you at the finish line! Take a selfie when you finish your distance. Post to social media and hashtag your photo #ActiveForAutism5K and #RUNFORAUTISM.
- Submit Your Results
- All Active for Autism Virtual 5K participants who complete their 5K and send or post a photo of their virtual race by July 31st will be listed in the 2020 virtual runner results

All participants who register for the virtual race by June 30th will have their race packet sent to them before Saturday July 18th. Any participant who register after June 30th might not receive their race packet before the event.
To guarantee your race t-shirt size, participants must register for the Active for Autism Virtual 5K by June 24th.

Support autism research and win great prizes! Whether you are running, walking or just cheering others on you can fundraise to support OAR. Setting up your fundraiser is quick and easy.
- Click on Register, then login
- Select your fundraising option – you can participate and fundraise, or just set up a fundraiser.
- Complete the online registration.
- Edit your fundraising page and begin sharing!
All fundraisers are eligible for winning our
top prizes.
Every fundraiser who raises at least $100 will receive an OAR Branded Insulated Water Bottle.
