Can't make it in person? Join us virtually! The virtual event can be run, walked, cycled, or swum at your own pace, in your own time, from anywhere! Ideally, it would be on a course near your front door, inside your home on a treadmill/trainer, or get creative and find a new, fun course to race. For more information on the virtual race, please see below.

Register by March 19th to ensure your shirt size is guaranteed. All virtual participants who register for the virtual race by March 19th will receive their race packet before April 1st. Any virtual participant who registers after March 19th for the virtual event might not receive their race packet by April 1st.

Are you looking for a fun way to get friends and family involved? Whether you're running in-person or virtually, you can create a 5K team when registering or join an existing team by logging into your account and clicking on 'create or join a team' from your dashboard. Once you're on a team, encourage family and friends to register and join! Both in-person and virtual participants can be on the same team. Everyone on the top 2 fundraising teams will receive a special OAR swag item!
How it works:
- Sign Up!
- Register online for the virtual race.
- Please note that virtual race registration will close on April 12th!
- Complete Your Virtual Race
- Pick the course you want to race and complete your Active for Autism Virtual 5K and/or Kids Dash between April 1st and April 19th.
- Take A Finish Line Photo
- We want to see you at the finish line! Take a selfie when you finish your distance. Post to social media, tag @runforautism, and use the hashtags #ActiveForAutism5K and #RUNFORAUTISM.
- Submit Your Results
- All Active for Autism Virtual 5K & Kids Dash participants who complete their race and submit their results by April 18th will be listed in the 2026 virtual runner results. The top 3 male and female virtual participants will be announced at the in-person event on April 19th.
