My Story with Autism started with my nephew Ayden. He is now 6 years old and is the happiest kid I know. Two of his favorite fictional characters are Sonic the Hedgehog and Pete the Cat. Throughout the years, he has never ceased to amaze us. He makes us smile, he makes us laugh, and he so loving and affectionate to those he loves. Some of my favorite moments are when he comes up to me with a big embracing hug and a kiss on my cheek followed by "I love you Tio". Also the times when he randomly says something so funny that has us all cracking up and thinking did he just say that. For Halloween Ayden won the costume contest for being dressed up as the Autism Hero. Some view people with Autism differently, but aren't we all. To me they are still people; fun and loving people with a special kind of genius to contribute something Great to this world. I look forward to seeing the Greatness Ayden and all of the Autism Hero's have in store for us.
