My name is Alvin Jimenez, and I am originally from Manila, Philippines. I moved to New York in 2011, and have always been an admiring spectator of the NY Marathon. Admiration turned into envy, and envy soon turned into the inspiration that made me FINALLY decide to join and train. I know that the road is long, but I am ready to put in the work.
In order to join the marathon, I need everyone's help with raising funds for the Organization for Autism Research - a charity that is very relevant to Mariel, myself, and our son Marcus (more details on this in the coming weeks).
