This November, I'm running my first ever marathon in honor of the Organization for Autism Research! With the OAR team, every step of my 26.2 miles supports research and resources that help people with autism and their families.
🧩 My goal is to reach $3,000, which provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college. Donate what you can, help spread the word, or cheer me on from the sidelines :)
Why run for autism? • 1 in 44 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with autism. • The earlier individuals receive services, the better their outcomes are. • Researchers estimate the total lifetime cost of autism per individual is between $2.4 million and $3.2 million.
OAR’s celebration of neurodiversity and holistic approach to support reminds me of my years interning & volunteering at the Bridges to Adelphi Program. Much like Bridges, OAR answers the daily questions and challenges experienced by individuals with autism and services to increase quality of life.
Thank you for your support! Learn more at Organization for Autism Research, and let me know if you have any questions. 💙
