Alice Marson

Hi there! Those of you who know me know my brother Tyler, who has autism and lives in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. This year, I'm training for the NYC Marathon to raise money in his honor for autism research.

Please help me support by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Organization for Autism Research's great cause!

1 in 44 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By contributing to the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

OAR is the only autism organization that focuses solely on applied autism research funding. Applied research directly impacts the day-to-day quality of life of those with autism. The research pilot studies they fund examine issues affecting children and adults with autism spectrum disorders as well as their parents, families, teachers, and service providers.

Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$40,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.
