I am thrilled to announce that after a two-year postponement due to Covid-protocols, I am FINALLY set to run the Berlin Marathon on September 25th, 2022!

Training for a marathon after this many delays is both exciting and terrifying, but I’m so ready to get started!

Once I finish the Berlin Marathon, I will only have ONE marathon left to complete in order to get the “World Marathon Majors 6-Star Finisher Medal.”
-Boston Marathon: Completed April 2015
-Chicago Marathon: Completed October 2017
-London Marathon: Completed April 2018
-New York City Marathon: Completed November 2019
-Berlin Marathon: September 2022
-Tokyo Marathon: ONE DAY!!

I am honored to once again be representing The Organization for Autism Research (Team OAR) for this race. Team OAR’s mission is to use science to address the social, educational, and treatment concerns of self-advocates, parents, autism professionals, and caregivers of people living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The financial and emotional toll of an ASD diagnosis is tremendous, and your donations will go directly towards autism research, as well as outreach programs and scholarships.

Thanks to generous donors like you, I’ve raised nearly $20,000 for various Autism research charities over the past several years!

As you can imagine, non-profits and charity organizations have been hit hard over the past two years by a lack of donations and fundraising events. However, I am confident that with your help I can reach my goal!
Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated.

I am truly grateful for everyone’s support as I take on this crazy challenge!

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 54 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

$10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers.
$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$40,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.
