The Organization for Autism Research will be at the Tokyo Marathon on March 1, 2026! Join the
RUN FOR AUTISM team and help fund autism research and awareness.
NEED AN ENTRY?
Runners who need an entry into the 2026 Tokyo Marathon can apply to join the
RUN FOR AUTISM team for guaranteed entry.
Apply at the
2026 Application form. This form asks you to answer some questions about why you'd like to join the
RUN FOR AUTISM team and to give an outline of how you plan to raise the $5,500 fundraising commitment. Strong applicants will provide detailed answers to each question and express a strong commitment to supporting the autism community.
Applications will be accepted until May 12, 2025. All applicants will be notified of their status (accepted, waitlisted, or denied) on May 15. All applications received during the application window will be given equal consideration.
HAVE AN ENTRY?
Runners who have already secured an entry into the race (through the lottery, Abbott World Major lottery, or another guaranteed entry path) can join the RUN FOR AUTISM team and fundraise for OAR. Email run@researchautism.org to join the team.
FUNDRAISING Committment:
- $5,500 (USD) – Need race entry into the 2026 Tokyo Marathon
- $250 (USD) – Already have your own entry into the 2026 Tokyo Marathon
The first $1000 in fundraising is due on October 1, 2025. Failure to meet this deadline may result in your removal from the team and race.
All fundraising is due two weeks after the race: March 15, 2026.
