My brother, Lucas Garza, was diagnosed with autism at age two. Our bond has always been incredibly strong — he’s my best friend, my heart, and the funniest, most loving person I know. Growing up, everyone adored him. His teachers used to say they didn’t pick favorites, but somehow Lukie always stole the show!
Like many families, the pandemic brought challenges for him — very limited support and setbacks that have been tough to watch. But even through all of that, Lucas has never lost his sweetness, his humor, or the pure joy he brings into every room. And that’s exactly why I’m running this marathon.
I’m running because Lucas deserves a world full of possibility. I’m running because he inspires me every day. I’m running because RUN FOR AUTISM helps create the opportunities, services, and futures that people like Lucas should have access to. I’m running because he is my WHY — plain and simple.
Every mile is for him. Every step is a celebration of the love and strength he inspires in everyone. Every donation helps build the world he deserves.
And I know he’s not alone, this is for Lucas and everyone else who experiences the same struggles 💙
Thank you for supporting this run and supporting this cause. 💙
