TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON 

The Organization for Autism Research will be back at the TCS New York City Marathon on November 1, 2026! Join the RUN FOR AUTISM  Team and help fund autism research. 
 

NEED AN ENTRY? 

Runners who need an entry into the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon can apply to join the RUN FOR AUTISM team for guaranteed entry.  

Apply using the 2026 Application Form. This form asks you to answer some questions about why you'd like to join the RUN FOR AUTISM team and outline how you plan to raise the $4,000 fundraising commitment. Strong applicants will provide detailed answers to each question and express a strong commitment to supporting the autism community.  Applications will close on March 10th at 5pm EST, with applications decisions rolling and a status update provided for applicants by March 20th.  
 

HAVE AN ENTRY?

Runners who have already secured entry into the TCS New York City Marathon (through the lottery, 9+1 program, time qualification, etc.) can register for the RUN FOR AUTISM team and fundraise for OAR.

Runners with their own race entry do not have access to the charity bus and tent. If tent and bus access becomes available, decisions will be made in late September, with priority given to alumni runners, those with a connection to autism, and those who are leading fundraisers.
 

Fundraising commitment:

• $4,000 - Participants who need an entry into the race (please note, each participant must also pay the NYRR race registration fee). 
• $250 –  Participants who have secured their own entry from NYRR. 

The first $1000 in fundraising is due on August 1, 2026. Failure to meet this deadline may result in your removal from the team and race.  

All fundraising is due two weeks after the race: November 1, 2026.

Registration Process:

1)  Apply at the link above. 
2)  If accepted, fill out the team registration form sent after your accepted application. Pay a $25 team registration fee that will be credited to your fundraising page. 
3)  Customize your fundraising page, share it with your network, and begin fundraising! 
4)  Raise at least $1000 by August 1st, 2026 to claim your guaranteed charity entry. You'll receive a claim code from NYRR and you must complete the registration for the race and pay the NYRR registration fee at this time. 
5)  Run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon! 
6)  Ensure you've met your total fundraising commitment by November 15, 2026.
