GUESS WHAT?
My mom and I are participating in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend’s 5K this coming January! We are VERY PROUD to be Running for Autism with @organizationforautismresearch, because this nonprofit is extra special to us. My friend Cole is autistic: he is also super smart, funny, very nice, and we may not communicate the same way, but we’ve understood each other since we were babies. Watching him learn and grow has been incredible, and his mom and step-dad are the most amazing parents 🫶🏼

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By receiving pledges and running for this organization, we are supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

Mom and I EACH need to raise $500 for OAR prior to the races. That’s a cool grand combined. PLEASE- share with anyone and everyone! QR Codes are available in addition to this link.

$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$50,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.u
