Strange and stressful! Those are the words that Cheryl and I have used a lot in the past 6 months. So, as I send out this request for your support once again, we recognize that this is not a normal time for anyone. I have struggled with even asking this year as evident by this delayed request, but the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is pressing on with their research efforts even in the midst of this Pandemic.

The Pandemic has caused the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and MCM 10K to become a virtual event. This virtual event “run window” opens the first of October and closes on the tenth of November. I am shooting to complete my 10K run around mid-October. As always, I am running to raise awareness of Autism and funds for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR).

My goal is to raise at least $5,000 with all the proceeds going to OAR. OAR is a national non-profit organization that funds research and resources for individuals diagnosed with autism and their families. Sponsoring online is the most efficient way for me to raise funds for OAR, but for those uncomfortable with donating on-line, you can mail your donation check made out to "Organization for Autism Research" to me at the address below (be sure to insert in the memo section "Greg Smith" as your sponsored RUNNER):

• Greg Smith, 7725 Porters Hill Lane, Lorton, VA 22079

Your donations are tax-deductible and if completed on-line, you will get an automated confirmation note for tax purposes. Any and all amounts are appreciated.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. My contact information:
Work: smith_greg@bah.com or (703) 509-1155;
Home: lacsmiths@aol.com or (703) 339-4830

As always, God Bless and Thank You!!!
