Swim finish

Dear friends, family, and supporters, I wanted to share a personal journey of triumph, resilience, and growth with all of you. In 2014, I participated in my first triathlon, the Escape to Miami, and faced an unexpected obstacle during the swimming portion. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't complete the swim and had to be assisted back to shore, leaving me with missing swimming data on my results. Little did I know that this experience would ignite a determination within me. I made a promise to myself that day: I would improve my swimming skills and conquer that challenge once and for all. Fast forward ten years later, and I found myself standing on the ferry boat next to the Rock, ready to take on the legendary Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. The Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon is an iconic event that tests the limits of endurance and showcases the strength of the human spirit. As I prepared for the 1.5 mile swim in the frigid waters of the bay, I reflected on the journey that brought me here. It was a testament to the power of perseverance, dedication, and the belief that anything is possible. With each stroke, I embraced the memory of that day in Miami when I had to be picked up by a jet ski, knowing that this time would be different. The waves crashed around me, the chill seeped into my bones, the current pushing me back but I pressed on. The feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment as I emerged from the water was indescribable. I had conquered the challenge that haunted me for years. But this journey was never just about me. It was about something much bigger – a cause that resonates deeply within my heart. It is my privilege to dedicate my participation in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon to raising funds and awareness for autism. Autism affects millions of lives, and through this experience, I aim to shine a light on the incredible potential, talents, and challenges faced by individuals on the autism spectrum. I humbly invite you all to join me in supporting this cause. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact in providing resources, support, and opportunities for individuals with autism and their families. Together, we can foster understanding, acceptance, and create a more inclusive world. Visit https://support.researchautism.org/alcatraz2023/Yazan to make a donation and be a part of this meaningful journey. Together, we can turn challenges into triumphs and make a lasting difference in the lives of those affected by autism. Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in the power of human resilience. Let's inspire one another and show that with determination, we can overcome any obstacle and create a world filled with compassion and understanding. With heartfelt gratitude, Yazan Moghrabi Run For Autism
