As many of you know, I am still recovering from my breast cancer surgery after being diagnosed in April. My double mastectomy was on June 13th.., and, although I am not fully back into my running, my goal is to participate in the Marine Corps Marathon at the end of October.

Running and staying healthy is my top priority as I continue to recover.

My physicians are in support of my running another marathon… it will not be a PR, but definitely one I will embrace with emotion.

I am running in honor of Zachary who will be 23 this December- 20 years after his diagnosis of autism. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate not only Zachary and all that he has achieved, but celebrating life and joy as I run now as a breast cancer survivor 💕!

Please help me support Organization for Autism Research by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Organization for Autism Research's great cause!

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

Last year I was honored to have joined the OAR as I ran for the London Marathon team… now one year later, I have witnessed many personal changes and I again am honored to join the OAR and run for their Marine Corps Marathon team.

As I have seen in these past few months, it takes a village to get through life’s challenges… and all of you are part of that village.

Thank you 💕!!
