Welcome to my fundraising campaign for team RUN FOR AUTISM with the Organization of Autism Research!
I am thrilled to announce that I will be running with team RUN FOR AUTISM at the Marine Corps Marathon on October 29th! As a part of this incredible team, I have been given a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of many individuals and families.
The Organization for Autism Research is a nonprofit organization founded and led by parents and grandparents of autistic children. The Organization for Autism Research funds research studies, produces and distributes educational resources, and hosts online seminars and workshops. Additionally, the Organization for Autism Research works to raise public awareness about autism and promote advocacy efforts on behalf of individuals with autism.
It is still so surreal that I will be running a marathon for a cause that is close to my heart. I am reaching out to ask for your support in this journey by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Your contribution will help the Organization for Autism Research to fund critical research projects, educational resources, and outreach programs that directly benefit the autism community.
With every dollar, we can make a significant impact in the lives of those affected by autism. Your support and fundraising efforts will directly help the Organization for Autism Research to continue to fund critical research projects, educational resources, and outreach programs that directly benefit the autism community.
Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:
$10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers.
$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$40,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.
Thank you so much for considering a donation to my fundraiser and for supporting the Organization for Autism Research.
If you are not able to make a donation at this moment, I appreciate you still coming on my fundraising campaign and kindly ask that you share this page with your family and friends.
Lastly, I would like to dedicate this fundraising campaign to my cousin, Sari. Sari, always know that the world is yours, and you can do whatever your heart desires. I love you!
