Hi! My name is Michael Cleary and I will be running my 4th 5K run with the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) on April 16, 2023 at the Garnet Valley High School track. I run because I like to run and to raise awareness about autism. You can join me on April 16th by coming out to run or walk, coming out to learn more about autism or by donating to my fundraising page.

I am a healthy and happy 19-year-old man whose life has been impacted by Autism. I live an active life and I like to swim, play soccer and basketball, build puzzles, ride my bike and of course run with friends. Running has been an outlet for me as I navigate the challenges of life with autism. It helps me relax and feel better.

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?

$10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers.
$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$40,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.
