I am thrilled to be running the 2027 London Marathon in support of the Organization for Autism Research, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.

As many people visiting this page will know, my son is on the autism spectrum. Throughout our family’s journey, I’ve seen firsthand how meaningful advancements in autism research and understanding can be when they translate into real-world support and resources.

That’s why OAR’s mission resonates so deeply with me. OAR works to bridge the gap between research and everyday life, helping turn what we learn into practical tools and opportunities that can make a real difference for autistic individuals and their families.

Running 26.2 miles is certainly a challenge, but for so many individuals and families navigating life with autism, it pales in comparison to the challenges they face every day. If running those 26.2 miles can help bring more support, resources and opportunities to families like ours, then every mile will be worth it.

If you’re able to make a donation, share my page or simply cheer me on, you’ll be helping support research and resources that have the potential to make a real and meaningful difference in the lives of so many individuals and families.

Here are just a few examples of how OAR uses funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

$10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to a general education teacher.
$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$50,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.

Thank you for supporting me, OAR, and a cause that means so much to our family. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement means more than you know.

With great gratitude and love,
Carlye
