This cause is deeply personal to me. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s, and my daughter has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Currently, 1 in 31 children in the United States are diagnosed with Autism and that does not account for the children who lack the resources to obtain a diagnosis. Autism research and awareness are not just important topics in my life—they’re part of who I am and the journey my family walks every day.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be running with such an amazing team at the Walt Disney World Marathon. This event brings together two of my greatest passions: raising awareness for autism and running. Every mile I run is a step toward greater understanding, support, and progress for individuals and families affected by autism.
