Please help me support Organization for Autism Research by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Organization for Autism Research's great cause!
As you may know, both of my children are autistic. Joey is 7, and Teddy is 4. When a parent receives a diagnosis of Autism for their child, there is a sense of panic that sets in: Will they have a typical life? Will they be able to go to college? Could they live on their own? We are early in this journey, but nonprofits like OAR are essential to help families navigate the difficult years ahead. I have personally used many of their resources and love that the money we raise will go to scholarships to help autistic teens go to college or receive vocational training.
This parenting journey is a marathon. That is why I run for OAR; for Joey and for Teddy and for all the other kids like them and the families who support them. Every little bit helps.
