Sierra Swint

My name is Sierra, and I’m proud to run the Chicago Marathon with RUN FOR AUTISM. I’m a newer runner, but I’m taking on this challenge to help support autism awareness, acceptance, and meaningful resources for the community. This journey is about more than crossing a finish line — it’s about spreading hope, understanding, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum and the families who love them.

Please help me support this cause by contributing to my fundraiser and sharing my page with your family and friends. Every dollar raised directly advances the Organization for Autism Research’s mission to fund research and provide practical resources that make a real difference in people’s lives.

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 31 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, I’m helping support OAR’s work to fund evidence-based research and deliver valuable tools for individuals with autism, their families, caregivers, teachers, and communities.

Your support truly matters. Here’s how your gift can help:
• $10 – Provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers.
• $25 – Provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety for families and first responders.
• $100 – Delivers the Kit for Kids peer education program to an entire elementary or middle school.
• $150 – Sends 100 copies of a Life Journey Through Autism guidebook to a community support group or military installation.
• $1,000 – Funds a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
• $3,000 – Provides a college scholarship for a student with autism.
• $50,000 – Fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.

Thank you for supporting my journey and helping create a more inclusive and supportive future for the autism community.
