Please help me support by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Organization for Autism Research's great cause!

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 31 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

$10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers.
$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$50,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.

Attempting to be consistent, see goal/resolution 1 in previous post. If only I could not be intimidated by the weight area and be consistent with my plan there. 1 step at a time I guess.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday, whatever you celebrate. The new year is coming up and for a lot of people I know that's the time they make new goals, I'd love to hear everyone's goals and reflections as we enter the 2026 year. My reflections for 2025 is that I got to spend so much time doing things I loved. Hanging out with all of the athletes in Special Olympics, Miracle league and the individuals in ICS. Walking dogs and taking care of cats, shoutout to my favorite pups Bentley, Bruno and May! I've spent so much time with my family and had a blast learning new things. In 2026 I hope to be more consistent with my health and physical activities. I've signed up for 3 races this year, The St. Malachi 5 miler in March, Medina Half in May and obviously the Chicago Marathon my birthday weekend in October. All of that is going to take consistency and dedication so I think I'm up for the challenge. And the New Years resolution that I always have (and always fail at) DRINK MORE WATER MONIE! Let's kick out all the bad things from 2025 and go into 2026 with a positive attitude!

Carter hitting them hard with his infectious laugh and smile during the black Friday bowl last year. He is the reason I do what I do. The Cartertism has me hooked.
