Hi All-

I'm doing it again in 2026!

OAR really means a lot to my family. I am nothing short of honored and humbled to be able to fundraise and run the marathon for such an amazing organization.

Matthew who is my 13 year old son is one of the coolest kids I know. Talks about pizza, Halloween, Scouts and fireworks constantly. He has a huge heart and would do anything for anybody. He's my inspiration for running 26.2 which I would have never thought possible 3 years ago! Now I'm on my 3rd go at it!

Being able to raise money for something that directly impacts Matthew is such an incredible honor. My promise to you is that I will put my heart and soul into the training. It's really an amazing experience for an even more amazing cause.

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

This organization doesn't mess around. Here are some of the things they use for the money I raise and these are important:

$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$40,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.

And back training! 5am the Friday after the race getting in 4 miles. Legs were still a little stiff but it felt good to get them moving!

Crossed the finish line!

That's me at mile 15! It's "Charity Row" where all the organizations people have runners for get to set up base and cheer on their runners. It gave me the extra boost I needed to make it over the finish line!
