Join Me in Supporting Autism Research!

In 2019, two friends and I set out to run the New York Marathon. However, as we all know, Covid happened, and our plans were put on hold. Six years later, after many life changes, I am ready to take on the challenge of running the NY Marathon once again. On a cold, crisp Christmas morning, I embarked on my training journey with Yvonne.

We have proudly joined the Run for Autism Team to raise funds for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR). This esteemed non-profit charity is dedicated to advancing research and providing support for day-to-day living, as well as facilitating the transition into adulthood and post-secondary education.

Running for a charity that holds personal meaning to me is paramount. I am undertaking this endeavor in honor of my son and daughter, both of whom are on the autism spectrum. This journey is a celebration of their unique character and qualities, and it is my privilege to support a cause that resonates with my values.

I am privileged to have four amazing people on our team: my running partner Yvonne Vuu, colleague Michael Vance, and his running partner, Sandra Goff.

I would be grateful if you could donate to my fundraising efforts. All donations are tax-deductible and go towards a great cause!
Every bit makes a difference, no matter how big or small.

Thank you in advance for your support!

*Note that donations are in US currency.

WHY RUN FOR AUTISM?
1 in 36 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you’re supporting OAR’s mission to fund research and resources that help people with autism and their families today.

Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

$10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers.
$25 provides 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders.
$100 provides the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school.
$150 provides 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook sent to a community support group or military installation.
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism.
$3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college.
$50,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.
