This fall, I’ll be running the New York City Marathon—26.2 miles through all five boroughs—in support of the Organization for Autism Research (OAR).
I am so honored to be running my first marathon for such a special and amazing cause. Growing up with my older brother Jack who’s austic has shaped who I am—teaching me patience, compassion, and what it means to celebrate progress in all its forms. Jack has given me insight on the complexity of autism and the daily struggles faced by those affected. Seeing how much my brother has grown over the years, yet struggles he still faces reinforces the importance for research in this field. I am honored to have the opputunity to run in support of the Autism community.
OAR is unique because every dollar raised goes directly to research and programs that make a real difference in the lives of people with autism and their families. From supporting inclusive education to funding practical research, their work helps create a more understanding and supportive world for individuals on the spectrum.
Any donation, no matter the size, helps support Autism research and resources for families. I’d be so grateful for your support and am honored to have the oppurtunity to run for Jack and for the autism community.
