Earlier this year my nephew, Asa, was diagnosed with Autism. He's an energetic four year old who loves to point out garbage trucks everywhere he goes and talk about cars and trains. He is an adorable kid and because of him I want to make my next round of 26.2 miles more meaningful. Please consider helping me raise money to support Autism Research.
If we are going to be miserable for 26.2 miles we should make it worth it and raise money for a great cause!
Here are some of the ways that OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:
$1,000 provides a research grant for a graduate student studying autism (my goal of $1500 would cover this!) $3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college (if my sister and I both hit our fundraising goals we can fund this!) $50,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study.
