Next October, I’m running the Chicago Marathon as part of the Run for Autism team, a cause deeply personal to me. My 10-year-old son, Connor, has autism, and through this journey, we’ve seen both the incredible strengths and unique challenges that come with it. Run For Autism isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about raising awareness and funding for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR).
Why This Matters Autism affects 1 in 36 children in the U.S., and every dollar we raise will go directly toward making a real difference for families like mine. OAR funds research and provides resources that support individuals with autism and their families today—not in the distant future.
Here are just a few ways your donation can help:
$10: Provides a professional development set to a teacher. $25: Distributes 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders. $100: Supplies an entire school with the Kit for Kids peer education resource. $3,000: Funds a college scholarship for a student with autism.
Your support means so much to me, Connor, and millions of others in the autism community. Please consider making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your friends and family. Together, we can make a difference—one step at a time.
Thank you for helping me turn every mile into meaningful change!
