Every day, 1 in 31 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism, a statistic that hits close to home for so many families, including mine. It’s a journey that can be filled with challenges, but it’s also one that invites incredible strength and support. By joining the RUN FOR AUTISM team, you're not just participating in an event; you're standing together with families who need help, awareness, and resources to navigate this journey.

My heart is deeply connected to this cause because I’ve seen firsthand the impact autism can have on families. I want to do everything I can to support research that leads to better understanding, education, and resources for those affected by autism. Every dollar I raise will contribute to the Organization for Autism Research's incredible mission to make a difference in lives today.

Here are just a few examples of how OAR uses the funds raised by the RUN FOR AUTISM team:

- $10 provides a Curriculum in a Box professional development set to general education teachers, equipping them with the tools to better serve students with autism.
- $25 helps distribute 15 copies of A Guide to Safety to families and first responders, ensuring that safety is a priority in our communities.
- $100 supplies the Kit for Kids peer education resource to an entire elementary or middle school, fostering understanding and friendship among students.
- $150 sends 100 copies of a Life Journey through Autism guidebook to a community support group or military installation, offering guidance and hope to those who need it most.
- $1,000 supports a research grant for a graduate student studying autism, paving the way for new discoveries and advancements.
- $3,000 provides a scholarship for a student with autism to attend college, opening doors for education and opportunity.
- $50,000 fully underwrites an applied research pilot study, fueling innovation and progress for generations to come.
